The new article in the Swiss women’s magazine Annabelle, written by Airdoc Health Travel cofounder Anastasia Sorvacheva (Will): As early as 1967, involuntary childlessness was recognised as a disease by the WHO. In September 2020, the WHO explicitly reconfirmed the granted status and pointed out the deplorable situation with infertility treatment in many countries around the world: “Equal and equitable access to fertility care remains a challenge in most countries, particularly in low and middle-income countries. Fertility care is rarely prioritized in national universal health coverage benefit packages.”
